| Unique Texas Longhorns, Horses, and Ponies for Special Events Howdy Folks,
My name is Heather Reams and I want to welcome you to our website. My Company Lonesome Longhorn Productions has been serving the Dallas/Fort Worth area since 1993.
THE TEXAS LONGHORN Early Spanish explorers brought this lean breed of cattle to Texas. After the U.S. Civil War, Texans needed money. They started raising and selling cattle to people in big Eastern cities. Cowboys led huge cattle drives that pounded along famous paths like the Chisholm Trail. When cattle drives ended in the late 1800s, longhorns gradually disappeared. They almost became extinct. Since that time, longhorns have made a strong come back.
Today Heather's Lonesome Longhorn Productions provides trained Texas Riding Longhorns for your entertainment and pleasure. Each one of our steers is lovingly trained at the Buckhorn ranch in Joshua, Texas. They graze on 45 lush acres and are brought in to be bathed and groomed for each special event. All our animals are drug-free and fully aware of their surroundings. We carry full liability insurance, and are federally licensed by the USDA, and take great pride in the health and welfare of our animals.
We also offer horses, ponies, fairy tale unicorns, to make your event special. Use your imagination or ours, and together we can make your event the most successful of the year. Let us know what your looking for and we will do our Texas best to help.
Thanks for visiting and be sure to check back often for updated information. last updated January 2008

Heather started riding horses at the age of nine, in Hollywood, California. At the age of 18 she was breaking and training race horses. With a career change in her twenties, Heather found herself in Texas. In 1990 she married had two beautiful daughters and divorced by 1993. Her ex-husband bought her a Texas longhorn named Handsome Hank, along with a trailer. He said to her, If you want child support, you can go earn it yourself! Guess what? She did. Today she has a thriving Western Entertainment Company, that she has built by herself, except for one longhorn and one trailer. Heather prides herself in her family, her ranch and the animals she trains. To date she has six trained longhorns, and nine ponies and horses. Heather and her husband Buck love living and working in the western entertainment business. |
